My son had the accident. He was riding the bicycle when some drunk driver in a high speed has enter the square and hit two peoples, my son and some little girl. My son has suffered great impact. Several bones in his body were broken but he is alive, thank God. Now he suffers from peripheral neuropathy. Could neuropathy be caused by trauma?

Sir I am very sorry to hear that. I hope your son will be all right. Trauma, such as car accidents, falls and sport activities could cause peripheral neuropathy. It is because the nerves could be so crushed, damaged, compressed, partially or completely severed and stretched that they could be detached from spinal cord, completely or partially.
