I'm 19 and I have been on a low dose hormone of birth control for 11 months (less effective than a high dose). This month I missed a pill, and my boyfriend and I did have unprotected sex but he didn't ejaculate inside of me. I am due for my period today or tomorrow. Exactly one week ago I had brownish/pinkish spotting for about a day and a half. I don't think it was break trough bleeding because I have been on this birth control for so long and it says in the package you should only get BTB during the first 3 months. Also I have had a lot of white discharge the last week which is very abnormal for me. My lower stomach is also a little swollen an if I am pregnant I would be 3-4 weeks along. I have also been having lower back pains, and I woke up in the middle of the night a few days ago feeling very nauseous. Today I drank a lot of water to force myself to pee to take a test, and my pee was clear and the test came out negative.. Is it possible it could be wrong?

Hi Briser,
It is possible that you have a false negative. At the start of a pregnancy the level of hCG is very low and only if the test is done correctly can the results be accurate. Even at that, it is best to wait a week or more.
But - drinking all that water would not have helped the accuracy. Most tests instruct you to use urine from when you first awaken as it is more concentrated. The water would have diluted the hormone.
Missing a pill is not normally a cause for concern. If your boyfriend did not ejaculate, unless there was precum with sperm, then it is unlikely that you're pregnant.
You would also not be 3-4 weeks along, maybe 2 at best. You generally ovulate anywhere from 11-21 (avg. 14) or so days into your cycle. You could not get pregnant before this.
The discharge could possibly be a yeast infection.
The timing of the bleeding/spotting is about right for implantation bleeding. You said it occurred about a week ago which would have been about day 21 or so. If you had sex near day 14, around January 8, then it is possible.
I know I haven't given you a definite answer, I can't. I'm just throwing it all out to you so you can understand what may be happening.
Hope it helps.
