I'm very sad to add to this posting that my wife Nancy Irene Yanosko passed away November 24, 2012 at home at the age of 59 1/2, Ironically she survived the anaplastic astrocytoma, but ended up with a gleoblastoma that was unoperable. I was lucky enough to be by her side. We chose to go the hospice route so we stayed in our home. Nancy actually stayed with me in our bed until I watched her last breath. I will always love Nancy for her strenght, her determination, and love of God. She was at peace having seen Jesus a few times before passing. I asked her 10 days before passing why she no longer read her bible and she responded "I don't need it anymore I am in different place now" She knew her future path and accepted it with an open heart and love for all around her.

Nancy I will Love you Forever

Hi Mate. I am 29 and was diagnosed with brain tumor grade 2-3 where less then 20 % was anaplastic astrocytoma. In January I had operation where they removed all of the tumor. I just finished 6 weeks of radiotherapy. I had tumor at the same part of the brain as yours. I am goingto have checkups every 6 months. Just writing to you to wish you all the best and to ask how you getting on ?

I was diagnosed with this same tumor January of 2012. I immediately was sent to the ER, put on steroids and 2 days later had brain surgery to remove part of the tumor. Mine was an infiltrating tumor (finger like parts) so they surgeon was not able to remove all the tumor. I underwent radiation and chemo for 6 weeks and then continued maintenance chemo for an additional year. 5 days every 28 days. I just finished my treatment a month ago and am waiting for my followup MRI in 2 weeks. As long as I stay stable I'll only need to continue MRI's. I did begin to have seizures once on radiation, but with proper medication, those have stopped. Good luck to you.

I know this is an older post but you are truly inspirational. I too was just diagnosed with AA level III. Seeking options now. Surgery was not the best option for me as their was too many obstacles (motor skills and vocabulary functions) surroinding the tumor. The surgeon basically got a biopsy

Hi, just checking you you are getting on? My boyfriend has been diagnosed with AA3 4 monhts ago. Accually it was grade 2-3 . They took the cancours part (AA3) out and the rest is stil in ( no idea if is still grade 3 or grade 2-3 there). They couldnt take it all out as the tumor sits right in the centre for the right hand. He is doing fairly ok, right hand is a bit weak and he suffers from ep. seisures now. He doenst want to do chemo but he is fine doing radio. Did you do both? How are you at this moment anyway? Hope you really good:) thank you Eva

My wife also AAgrade3 feb 2016, surgery immedietly after a normal mri for headaches, she has done Radiation and 4 rounds of temodar. the tumor is gone, she is doing great, we have 2 small kids and she is young and fights for us all. you will be ok, find it somewhere inside you and plant that notion that you will be ok, follow the treatment eat healthy and rest when your body tells you, start to drink Alkaline water we use that exclusively for all her liquids intake and she has used high doses of CBD oil all year long also. I wish you a sword and head into the battle, don't stand and watch it, attitude is necessary
