Cracked skin and redness on penis head.

i had the redness on my penis too followed by the dry tight skin later which created rack during sex or erections my doctor gave me a cream called hyderm cream 1% this cream took it away... hopes it helps you too :)

I have something similar. Following a post here, I tried chapstick. It nearly cleared it up completely.

I am circumcised. The problem started after crazy ha****b + oral sex session. Started small redness that got bigger.

Jumping to different conclusions only made it worse.

Just try:

No masturbation (Blood, stretched skin, heat etc etc)

Chapstick, or Vaseline

try a differnt brand of body wash dont use bars of soap or hand soap to clean up down there

im having these same  problems. right now im dealing with it for the second time in my life. its been about a year or so since the last time it happened. i cant remember how i got rid of it last time but i do remember not allowing myself to get turned on for a very long time since that just seemed to aggravate it. ive considered the fact that it may be an STD but im also finding that it can be a reaction to the soap im using. im going to try a vitamin e rub and some dove moisturizing soap down there and to the best i can not to have sex. i know exactly what all of you guys are going through and i wish every one this best of luck. this is one of the most mentally painful things a guy can go through. I've had this for nearly 3 god damn years and I've been bounced around from doctor to doctor, from diagnoses of 'yeast infection' to 'its nothing' to 'balantitis'..

just to vent for a second.. its complete f$#$ing ridiculousness that this has gone on this long. I'm at the point now where I feel COMPLETELY let down by the health care system, and I often daydream of practically holding a doctor hostage in his/her office until he or she takes this seriously and does not rest until I am better because i sure as hell can't

The latest episode in this JOYOUS saga was at a sexual health clinic.. the doctor their prescribed me a type of steroid cream insisting that if it did not work she would refer me to a dermatoligist.

Next thing you know the cream doesnt work, and after booking an appointment, several days later I get a phone call saying that she does not feel the redness is severe enough for her to feel comfortable referring me to a dermatologist.. so essentially.. buh bye

deep breaths.. before I go ape$h!t on one of the handful of doctors who have let me down..

to clarify.. the steroid cream did not work.. after using it twice daily.. for I believe 6 weeks.. the problem persisted..

HOWEVER, the cream did seem to alleviate symptoms almost instantaneously. About 20 minutes after each initial application the skin on the head of my penis looked good enough to make me cry tears of joy.. seriously.

SO.. I am wondering if I need a stronger steroid cream.. Since my own family doctor is some old f#*k who thinks 'nothing is wrong' I'm clearly not getting a referral from him. SO TOMORROW.. episode 219381238 begins as I try to find a doctor just to give me a damn referral, so that I can wait probably another 3 months so I can potentially be fed another pile of horse $h!t

at this rate, if someone doesnt step up soon and live up to their hypocratical oath, you fellas will be seeing me on the news :D

Hi there, the cause of redness on your penis could come from many sources. Are you washing you penis with a strong perfum soap? Are you wearing new underwear that you could be allergic to the material? Soap gives me yeast infection, canestan will not do anything for me, only monistat works for me. Just buy the individual cream and use it for a good week. If you want to masturbate with a lubricant, use vaseline which is a neutral petrolium.

Im having this too, i have a cracked red patch of skin on my penis and would like to know what this could be, im only in my early teens and i have never had sex or rubbed genitals with a girl, please help diagnose this, and help me solve this as im not too happy about talking to my parents about this.

although reading a previous comment i am wearing new boxers that are made out of a material i haven't worn before could this be it afterall the symptoms did come on like a day after i got my new boxers

I am having the same problems too!  I was treated for Chlamydia and treated at the end of 2011 and now the head of my penis is red on part of it and the skin is split looking kinda like a wrinkle and the glands feel weird, like kinda raw and not healed fully.  WHAT THE f**k IS THE SOLUTION TO THIS?!!?

If you were taking an antibiotic for a long time you could need probiotics to counter act the effects of the long term use of antibiotics. It causes an over abundance of yeast in the body. Also u may try a basic anti-fungal cream like lotrimin or micronazole cream.

Zithromax is a one time dose. I took it on a really empty stomach. I figured maybe I had a male yeast infection. I ate 2 huge cans on yogurt over the period of a week and put some monistat c**p on the head of my penis. None of it seems to have helped. The head looks the same as has for months. I have tried neosporin and cortizone cream and no success. I have no tried flaxseed oil, but I doubt that will help. I am going to have to pay $400 to see a urologist now because planned parenthood doesnt give a sh*t.

Hey people I've had a similar problem for over two years. Red little bumps I know surely it's Is not herpes. Before, episodes use to be one in a lont time but now its every so often I get a reaction. I've seen different doctors but they say it's nothing. It comes an goes so I try to keep the penis head as dry as possible because I am uncircumcised.

Is this contagious to the vagina?
