I’m so frustrated! I have been suffering from Crohn’s Disease since forever, basically, and I have adopted a completely healthy lifestyle as well as taking off of the medication that my doctors have prescribed, of course. Despite this, one of the more nasty complications of Crohn’s has appeared in MY BODY – I have kidney stones, and they hurt something wicked. Why me? And have you got any suggestions for making the pain less while I wait for treatment?

Are you opting for the operation or choosing the bath with sonic waves? I have heard that the last one works very well, one of the advantages of this treatment is that the patient does not normally feel very much pain. Sometimes the stones pass the natural way and that can be terribly painful, so I hope you will receive treatment soon. Are you taking any pain medication at the moment?

I am opting not to take the pain medication, because I don’t want to put my liver under any extra pressure on top of anything else I am dealing with. I know that there are different treatments available and I think I will just do whatever the doctors suggests when we get to it. I am just so tired of having Crohn’s. I guess that I just needed to vent, and I hope that is OK here as well. Passing the stones the natural way sounds oh so painful, and I hope it doesn’t come to that.
