Hi, maybe someone can help here and give me some advice until i get to the doctor. I just recently had a cyst form on the left side of my tongue but it is way in the back... I have to stick my tongue way out to even see it. At first it was a little painful and just looked like a clear blister then the next day it turned white and is not so painful. I do smoke... so i'm worried about tongue cancer. And i did have oral sex two days before it formed on my tongue.

I also noticed when i eat certain breads or food that left side of my mouth/tongue gets irritated... maybe it has to do with something i ate too... Who knows!!!

Hello jenny,

It is probably nothing, just a bump which needs to heal on its own but you can never be sure about it so it is a good thing you are going to see your doctor. After all no one can give you the better diagnosis than he.

If you had oral sex and you are mentioning this are you afraid that your partner isn’t completely healthy? You should ask him if you suspect anything, and as well if you haven’t used condom during regular sexual intercourse, you should visit your gynecologist too.

But as I have already mentioned it is probably just some stacked saliva and this bump will heal on its own. Keep us posted about details.

I have a rather large white bump on the left rear side of my tongue; it really hurts. This bump is also hindering my speech and it hurts when I speak. What remedy do you have to recommend?
