Hi. I have the dissolvable packing and I can’t breathe at all through my nose. I’m finding this the most difficult part. Not too fussed about he pain. How long does it take for a little bit of air to pass through?

From what I’ve read and heard, deviated septum surgery can really help with breathing and chronic congestion, but the recovery and results seem to vary a lot from person to person. Some people feel relief fairly quickly, while others mention swelling and discomfort taking longer to settle, so expectations matter. It also sounds important to have a thorough consultation and clear diagnosis before deciding, whether it’s functional or partly cosmetic. I had a similar discussion during a consultation at visagesculpture, and it helped me understand the pros and limits much better—has anyone else found that getting a second opinion made a difference for them?
