I am 55 years old and I have entered my menopause and that brought me a lot of problems. I started to have palpitations; tachycardia and a doctor told me that I have sinus tachycardia. How dangerous is that condition? Will the therapy I have been given help me or is it just to deal with the symptoms?

If not treated properly, sinus tachycardia might lead to serious complications. But if the appropriate medications are applied that should deal effectively with that condition. As for those meds, those are anti arrhythmic drugs. They do not treat the cause, but do prevent its occurrence, maintaining the proper heart beat.
