I do not know if you will know for my type of arthritis that I have, but I will still try. I have ankylosing spondylitis, and not just that but I have lower back pain also. My last doctor prescribed me Dicloflex, drug that I have never heard for before. That is why I would like to hear something about that, what for is it used. How should I take this medicine called Dicloflex?

That is right Dicloflex is used to treat your condition, and there are two types of the same drug, Dicloflex SR and Dicloflex Retard tablets. Those sustained-release tablets contain higher doses of diclofenac. Those tablets are designed to release this slowly and continuously over a few hours. This provides more prolonged pain relief, so these tablets are usually taken once a day not like some others for few times a day. These tablets must also be swallowed completely to avoid damaging the sustained-release action. All types of Dicloflex tablet should preferably be taken with food to avoid irritating the stomach. Medicines and their possible side effects can affect individual people in different ways, so I cannot tell you exact side effects of Dicloflex. I want to say it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience any of its side effects. For example, with Dicloflex you might experience disturbances of the gut such as diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain. Some of less serious side effects are indigestion, flatulence, loss of appetite, headache and dizziness.
