I had a discectomy 3/23/2007. Before I left the hospital, I had the same severe burning in my right leg and foot that I had pre-op. I went to the emergency room and spent a whole day there, After an MRI was performed, it was determined that I have a lot of scar tissue and it will take some time for the symptoms to disappear. I am obese but not morbidly so. I can do anything I wish without seeming lumbersome. Can anyone tell me if they had this same surgery and what was the post-op experience. Please!!!! I am in agony. Lyrica nor Prednisone have helped.

My diskectomy was Jan 4, 2007. I too had unbearable right leg and right top of foot pain before surgery. The first days after surgery I did not have this pain; however, it has returned. Lyrica is helping but not eliminating the pain. I had another MRI and am waiting to see my Dr. again.
