I am a 20 year old female.
for the past 8 months i have had pains in my legs shooting down from my buttocks to my knees in both legs but is worse in my left leg but only while I'm sitting down and after i sit for 10 minutes i start to get pins and needles in my left foot and it is starting to happen more frequently and more painfully as time goes by it makes it hard to drive anywhere and painful to be sitting down. I have had a full spinal MRI and my spine is normal.

i feel like I'm always sick and when i get a cold/flu it never goes away at the moment i have a cough sore throat headaches which i have taken antibiotics for and it went away after 2 weeks of antibiotics but as soon as i stopped taking them it came back even worse. I am constantly yawning and tired.

I had a blood test and my WBC count was low 1.6 but everything else in the test came back normal negative for arthritis. The doctor has said to have another test but he said the low WBC count is most likely just low because of a virus?
I have also been loosing hair. It is all making me stressed so the hair loss could be because of that but i don't know are all these symptoms connected? Could the pins and needles and pains be from lupus or another autoimmune disease? i am sick of going to doctors and spending money on MRIs which are useless.
Pleaaaase help!!!!!!!!

Hello,

I developed an autoimmune disorder when I was in my early twenties. I went to many doctors who took numerous tests and eventually diagnosed me with multifocal motor neuropathy, an autoimmune disorder. I got better after I started eating well and taking supplements and getting the help from some good health practitioners. I hope you get well soon.

Having an autoimmune disorder can be a long hard road.  Just getting an official diagnosis takes years and is like pulling teeth from a t-rex as he tries to eat you. The pain can seem endless and life can seem hopeless, but I promise it gets better!!!

I have been there! I was diagnoses with Fibromyalgia when I was 15, and have been suffering from the symptoms since I was 10.  I went through a ton of doctors before I finally found one who knew what was going on with me! You need to find a Rheumatologist if you haven't yet!!! I can't stress how important this is! Make sure they are someone who will sit and listen and explain EVERYTHING to you. Shop around for the right Rheumatologist for you because they are pivotal in your diagnosis and treatment!

It sounds to me like you are suffering from Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, because there is no lab that will say "yes you have fibro" it's more of a puzzle you put together with history and negative results, but I'm no doctor. And autoimmune disorders are hard to diagnose because the symptoms overlap.

If you do have Fibro though, they have medication that is approved to treat the pain! So it's really important to find a good doctor and to be proactive and pushy about figuring out what IS wrong so you can get the correct treatment because it will be a huge improvement in your life!

I have had the exact symptoms you are having and at first they said it was because my "lupus-like autoimmune disorder" was acting up and had attacked my nerve cells.  BUT my EMG was normal.  They put me on high dose of neurontin anyway and the numbness/ tingling/ pain went away! They never could explain the symptoms but after 6 years on the neurontin I went off of it and the symptoms have not returned... So, it could be something like that too... They'll probably never know, but if they give you the right meds it may help the symptoms.

Good Luck!

Have you had an extensive thyroid panel done? Not just the stupid one they give you for the regular blood tests, but a comprehensive test. Some of your symptoms seem thyroid related. An endocrinologist is the one to see about this and they can also test for autoimmune disorders and run an ANA test. Check out on line some of the thyroid symptoms. I was reading last night about pins and needles feelings and muscle fatigue and difficulty recovering from colds, etc. and very definitely hair loss. I understand exactly how you feel, sweetie. I pray for you and others. Suffering is no fun!!! If you can find a doctor who also does naturopathy or alternative medicine, that would also be a good way to go.  Also, check for parasites.
