I've been taking 40mg xr daily for the past 15 months, and haven't noticed any of these side effects described.  A colleague recently brought this topic up, and I was in complete disbelief.  Do any of the users spewing these supposive effects have links or even the titles of any published medical documents proving the existence of these effects?  It's not my intention to come across as "all-knowing", but at the same time I'm highly skeptical.

i too need adderall, ive been taking it ever since i joined the army, and i was diagnosed by the army with adhd. which explains alot, schoolwork during my school years was terrible, incredibly hard, and frustrating. my teachers all the way back in elementary school told my parents to take me to a doctor to see if i had adhd, but my parents didnt believe it was real. they just said, and i quote, 'he just needs more buttwhoopins'. in high school, i played 3 sports, wrestling, football, and track and field, and excelled at all. even got a wrestling scholarship. i even got straight a's, but only because i was buying adderall off of other kids. anyway, ive noticed the effects on my penis, it looking smaller, not necessarily when erect, but when flaccid. however, whenever i would take a break from adderall, it would fill back out again. i seriously doubt there is cell death of penis tissue like they said, i know its a vasoconstrictor, and the less blood you hace in your penis the smaller it looks, but i have never heard or seen anything that supports what they said. i'm thinking these are just more of those m****s who dont think adhd is real, so they try to scare people from taking their meds. they can think that all they want, but theyve never sat at a desk for hours, every imaginable distraction taken away, and still unable to focus. watching your sister finish her homework in 30 minutes, while you stay up late into the night, with you dad over your shoulder ensuring you dont get off topic. i wasnt a bad kid, i hated buttwhoopins and getting my stuff taken away, my brain just wouldn't focus for more than like 5 minutes at a time. adderall completely fixed all my problems, so i dont care what these idiots believe. by the way, youre only a junior in high school, so your penis is not getting smaller, your body might be getting bigger, making it look smaller. if you are still scared that its causing problems, there is one thing that has been proven to be the only drug to make your penis grow, and since youre still a teenager, it will still work. im talking about testosterone. no other steroids, most are modified versions of testosterone that have no sexual effects. good old fashioned testosterone, when taken with the appropriate support supplements, will increase your natural focus and determination, which will benefit the effects of adderall to a huge degree. the reason i bring up testosterone, is because adderall has been proven to lower hormone levels, and you may be able to get a prescription if your natural levels have dropped low enough. if you do go this route, while you are young, you will see penis growth, not to mention better results in the gym. after you reach a certain age, testosterone stops making the penis grow, just like how after a certain age, growth hormone doesnt make you taller. one thing you should know about testosterone is estrogen. estrogen is the female hormone, and while small amounts keep you flexible and your joints lubricated, large amounts lead to mood swings like you see in girls when they pms or are pregnant, as well as increased bodyfat, loss of muscle mass, development of breast tissue and lactation, and in males, blood pressure and heart problems. these side effects sound familiar? they should. they are the primary side effects of having supplemental testosterone. so why would testosterone have the same effects of the female hormone? the answer is it doesnt. the reason these are side effects of supplemental testosterone, is because the body will literally make more estrogen to compensate of the increase in testosterone, because the body likes a balance, even if its balance is wrong. so if you eliminate the excess estrogen from your body, you eliminate the negative side effects. however, for some unknown reason, mainstream medical science is determined to not devote much research to hormone replacement therapy. even though there are drugs that prevent all negative side effects, they are not used for this purpose. this is the part you should pay attention too. there are drugs out there, primarily used for the treatment of breast cancer, which can block estrogen from being absorbed into the body, as well as raise natural testosterone levels. however, i do not believe there are any doctors out there that will prescribe them to you other than for breast cancer. you will have to self medicate. look up anti aromatizers or estrogen blockers for more info. despite what the doctor tells you about your testosterone prescription, you should cycle on and off. this way your natural testosterone, which decreases when your body senses there is more than normal in your body, can increase back to normal, or even higher as long as you use the anti estrogen supplements i spoke of. any way, just a tad bit of info for you. im very fascinated by the human body and hormones, and i am actually on adderall right now, lol! so pardon the fact that this response was so long, hopefully you found this helpful as well as interesting. i just felt like you needed to know about how to deal with estrogen should you choose to get supplemental testosterone. because the doctors wont tell you how

same here, im 16 and in high school, ive been taking adderahh, amphetamines my whole life, i took a 2 year break (12-14) and when i got back on last year for my add, i noticed alot of stuff as you may guess.

I see this is a year late but I've been taking adderall since I was 13 and I stopped because I hated medication. I recently was started back up on it because of my ADHD and the more I take the more problems I've been starting to have. I've done a lot of looking around and researching and there is a over the counter adderall alternative call ADDtabz. They are suppose to do everything adderall does without the harmful side effects adderall has on your body.

a few months ago i took around 75 mg of adderall in one day and ever since then when i am erect i am about half a inch shorter and dont get as hard, and nor are my orgasms as good /: i am bigger in my flaccid state than i use to be beforehand but not in my erect state. i hope there isnt permanent affects on my penis growth im only 16

I started taking adderall when I was a sophomore in high school, I noticed a shrinkage in my penis, similar to if I had jumped in cold water, I thought about it a lot at first but looked past it as I was getting great grades for the first time in my life, socially comfortable, etc... I started dating the girl I'm still with 5 years later, we met a couple months after my adderall use and the first time we took them together we stayed up all night and at least 2 - 3 hours was intercourse and I lasted incredibly long, but it did seem less hard, well one thing led to another and I'm not proud to say it but I got her hooked on them as well, I'd get my perscription filled and it'd be gone in less then a week, tolerance was through the roof for both of us, and when wed go through my script wed buy up to 200-300 dollars worth to get through the month, this lasted all through high school and my freshman year of college, we lost most of our friends and really only hungout together, I was 6' 1" and 135 lbs when my mom finally stepped in and called my doctor and told him what had been going on over the years, I abused adderall, vyvanse, and ritilan, and I was battling marijuana habit as well, I had to stop cold turkey and tho it was rough it is getting better and back to the original topic, my size returned to normal again, hope this helped anyone who needs it

Hey so i recently like you have a had a problem with Adderall and my penis folding into it self though mine was slightly more exasperated because i snorted about 100mg and over a gram of coke and was consuming alcohol. Hello, I've used adderall for the last two years as well. I've noticed that it does (while under the influence) cause temporary shrinkage. I do believe in long term use it may cause decay in the tissue of the penis causing you to have a less powerful erection. I also believe there are ways to come back from this. First, you would have to stop using adderall (don't worry eventually you will come back from the dependency). Second, you would have to concentrate on your diet, only providing your body with the nunutrients it needs so that it can begin recovering. Lastly, you should use marijuana. I know this sounds kind of crazy but it can help you through the withdraw from adderall. Just do research and experimentation with the info I've provided and you will come to find that it is helpful.
