the day after drinking I find paracetamol and antihistamine doxylamine succinate help, but do not take antihistamines with alcohol.

antihistamines the day after drinking help flush out the toxins and can have a calming effect on the nerves,,doxylamine succinate helps me sleep better.

alcohol causes an allegic reaction in the body, Antihistamines suppress the histamine-induced wheal response (swelling) and flare response (vasodilation) by blocking the binding of histamine to its receptors.

You should not take anti-histamines The day after drinking... First generation histamine antagonists like Benadryl / diphenhydramine can cause you to become tachycardic, having a fast heart rate, which for many reasons the day after drinking you may be already expierancing - dehydration and "coming down" off your buzz otherwise known as withdrawal causes a fast heart rate (this happens to everyone not just alcoholics)

Try anxiolytics like Xanax Valium or Ativan however don't take more than you need as they can lead to dependence when misappropriated

Also, histamine antagonists don't flush out toxins, in fact it inhibits our bodies immune response designed to rid us of toxins... Check your medicine copy pasters
