It looks as if a new drug was found for treating high blood pressure that seems to be more effective than the drugs being used at this moment.
High blood pressure is very important to be treated as it leads to heart attacks.

A trial that lasted 5 years was conducted in Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Sweden and it showed that there were fewer deaths among patients who were taking new drugs.
These findings resulted in an urge to review the existing blood pressure treatments.
The trial participants, aged 40 to 79, had high blood pressure plus at least three other risk factors for cardiovascular disease including diabetes, high cholesterol and a family history of heart problems. The study recorded 24per cent fewer heart-related deaths among those taking the newer amlodipine combination, 23per cent less strokes and 30per cent fewer new cases of diabetes.
