about a week ago I had sex with my boyfriend. He didn't use a condom but he withdrew before ejaculation and he said that he didn't pre-cum inside me. I'm on yaz birth control pills and I have been taking them as I'm supposed to. the only thing that is freaking me out is that I took 2 pills by dry swallowing them. I'm afraid that it got caught in the mucus in my throat. I talked to my mom about it and she said that if I drank some or ate after that that the pills would still get in my system.
is she correct?
I haven't noticed any symptoms yet but I'm still freaking out. I haven't been eating and I can barely sleep.

Its ok to dry swallow them, as long as you drank something or ate something afterwards, it would wash the pills down. your mum was right, and you are fine.

anyway I'm going to the doctor tommorow and I'm going to ask him for a blood test. I heard that blood tests can detect a week after conception while urine tests can only detect 2 weeks after.

if you have been taking your pills every day as directed you should be protected from pregnancy,
personally I would think you couldn't be pregnant in your circumstances, although I understand if you would like peace of mind then a pregnancy test may help to make you feel more assured..
