I also experienced the same lately which is why i got to this thread.

My first day of menstruation was blackish and jelly like chunks of blood that lasted about 5 days. On the 6th day, there was already a little red (fresh blood) on it but the black chunks are still present. On the 7th day i decided to buy a bottle of beer (as they say it helps in aiding your blood flow--beer is a blood thinner, so maybe that the principle.) but while i was going about my day, this was the most normal my flow has been. It's stronger and with lesser black chunks at the beginning of the day.

Im not used to this because usually my mense lasts only 5days and i have dysmenorrhea. Now, i dont have dysmennorrhea but it stretched out to a week plus. This has been for 2mos already this being the second month. I admit i have been stressed lately and the past 3wks for me ive been nocturnal while reviewing for my exams (i cant study during the day) so now my body clock is inverted... lol

Wouls appreciate your help and input Ob-gynes out there.

I just got my first period yesterday and I'm seeing black jellylike discharge. Not only that but when I poop I clean myself and I see red blood on the toilet paper. Should I be worried?
