My daughter in law is 24 y.o. G2 P1 with an EDC of 3/31/10. During a ultrasound on Nov 3 they were told that there were some mineral deposits seen on the left side of the baby's heart. The DR. is scheduling an appointment to discuss this further with them.
I am retired but have some background in Labor and Delivery but am unfamiliar with this particular finding. Their DR. referred to the finding as echogenic cardiac focus.

Could you please provide some information on this topic and how it relates it genetic anomalies and Down's Syndrom?
