Sometimes, usually when I'm concentrating on something, everything seems to be further away. It has been happening about once or twice a month. Things also are much louder when this happens also. For example, once when I was taking a test the sound of someones paper rustling or a pencil on their paper was distracting. No one else seemed to notice it though.

Sometimes you can have what are known as dysphoric episodes, which sounds a lot like what you are suffering from. There are a lot of causes for this, but there is not much of a cause for concern as it is not a big problem. The best thing that you can do is just sort of a check in with reality. You could try talking to a counselor instead too. So keep us posted on what you decide to do.
