I have a quick question for you all about hidradenitis suppurativa, if that is all right. I have heard that, when left untreated, the boils can stay with a person for many years. That sounds horrible! So can hidradenitis suppurativa be excised by way of surgery? Please give me details.

I have to say that I have never heard of this being done. You can see pictures on the web where hidradenitis suppurativa patients have, like, lots and lots of boils on themselves. Obviously, this seems to suggest that surgery is not something that is commonly performed on the boils. There must be a reason for that.
