About five months ago i had a baby. I went to the hospital to have the baby and they put in an IV into my wrist where it moves from left to right. I was told that there would be some pain from where the IV was but that was five months ago and there is still pain. Some mornings i wake up and can't move my hand. My thumb locks in place and it hurts to try and pick up or hold things. Could they have done something wrong to cause this to happen? Can this be fix or am i injured for life?

Yes, the IV needle may have injured some nerve, or you may have an infection from an unclean needle. See a doctor as soon as possible. Google "intravenous catheter complications" for more information.
