Hey everyone. My name is Mark and I'm hoping you all can enlighten me. Just yesterday, my brother brought me to a lounge where I decided to try Hookah for the very first time (yes, it's my first and LAST). Everything went well the hour we were there and after 10 minutes into our ride home, my abdomen became numb and tight; as if a vice was clamping on it. Seconds later, both my arms and legs became numb. I started to have difficulty breathing and my mouth/lips locked-up as if I was going to whistle. So I quickly told him to pull over to the nearest parking lot. By the time we got there, I could not move my legs, arms, or hands; they were locked-up and stiff as a board. He had to literally pull me out like a mannequin and it was even frightening to see my brother trying to pry my glasses from my hands because they would not budge.

I told him to call 911 but he told me to calm down and take slow, deep breaths. Needless to say, it helped...but it literally took me 30 minutes for me to regain control of my body. After an hour, I became queasy and vomited (which surprisingly enough, helped). For a few more hours, my body remained numb but that was it.

After the incident, my brother told me that this was the first time he'd seen this happen (he has a few friends who smoke and states that this is new to him). After yesterday, I'm definitely not going back to smoking. So to you, my fellow forum goers, what do you think happened? Any insight would be much appreciated.

What happened to you is extreme paranoia. Probably from smoking to much your first time. You weren't mentally ready for how the drug would effect your body and mind and as a result you started to panic and tense up and focus on worst case scenario.

I wouldn't worry about it, the effects only last a few hours at most. If you do it again, just do a few puffs and take it slow.

Cheers
