I've had a little bit of discomfort inside my nostril, kind of like having a cold or some such, and today I finally went to look and it appears there's an exposed bone. I touched it and it feels like bone. Um, it feels weird, like having a nosebleed, but there hasn't been any blood.

I think it would be best to consult your doctor. If you have flu like symptoms and you are experiencing something similar to the nose bleed without blood maybe this is sign of some serious condition. I don’t want to freak you out or something like that but in my opinion it is better to be safe than sorry and if you are feeling that something isn’t like it should be than this is a sign you should do something about it.
