Usually on a day to day basis I roll my eyes. It is not on purpose, I will roll my eyes when I am confronted with bright light, when I'm sleep deprived and when I forget to focus my vision on something. So it is not a voluntary thing I do, and I do not notice it when I do it. For me, it feels like I am blinking, which most people do without thinking about it. This is not what I am concerned about. I have been doing this since I was around 10, and I am not 22. However, when I become overly tired I get what can best be described as spasms. I will with no warning lose control over one or several limbs. I have fallen, bruised myself, and twisted my ankles more times than I can remember though I am trying to do as little as possible whenever I am this tired, but simple acts like going to the bathroom or eating becomes a challenge because I cannot predict whenever the spasms are coming or when they will go away. So far I’ve been thinking that I’ve might have tics, and never really paid any attention to it. Then I went out 2 weeks ago to celebrate my birthday, and maybe did not get enough sleep, but I did not feel that bad when I went out of bed. Then as I was brushing my teeth I had a seizure. I started shaking, fell backwards and passed out still while shaking. A friend helped me get into bed, while I was still unconscious and then she tried to have a conversation with me. Apparently, I answered as if I was awake and I told her that I just needed rest. And when I woke up 2 hours later, I had no memory of the conversation or how I ended up in the bed. Does anyone have the same tics as me, know what it could possibly be (other than epilepsy)?
I have thought about epilepsy, but it is appearing at an odd time if it was epilepsy. That is something that happens in your childhood, not something that appears when you’re 22. I have seen doctors before, who said that the tics are something I’ll grow out of. And my friend who’s nearly done with his medicine degree does not believe that it is epilepsy. However, I am asking you; does any of you have or know someone with these symptoms that has been diagnosed with anything? Maybe that could help with giving me an idea about what this could be.
