I was hit by a car, 40 years ago in which my femur was fractured and required a rod and screws. Healed well, then began to have pain in my femur 3years later. The hardware was removed and I haven't had any issues till now, 40 years later. Started to have severe pain and numbness to hip. A MRI was done and showed some of the hardware was left in . I'm awaiting for the Dr to discuss this with me and the plan of care. Has this happened to anybody else. Thank you
