My husband and I have recently decided to have a baby... I have NEVER had regular periods, and because of that I am having trouble figuring out when I ovulate. I did have a miscarriage in August of 2008 and my doctor said that my menstrual cycles would take a while to regulate themselves. Since then my cycles have gone from 59 days to 40 then 30 and my most recent cycle was 38 days... without a regular cycle how can I be sure of when I am ovulating? I never have any obvious symptoms such as the clear discharge... what can I do?

Well, you could chart your BBT (basal body temp, first temp in the am) with cervical mucous (there are sites explaining this-you have it just hard to see unless you know exactly what to look for) or just buy one of those ovulation tests...I had one that was like a little microscope that you put your saliva on first thing in the am and it was cheap and worked well..but they have the digital ones that are more foolproof....good luck!!
