I had sex and we didn't use a condom...I'm on the pill, but there were 2 separate instances this month when I didn't take my pill on time. I remembered about 12 hours later, so I took it right away and kept going as normal. But, since that happened, I was afraid that it wouldn't be as effective, so I went out and bought and used Plan B within 12 hours of the sex. It's 3 days later and I'm still experiencing some breakthrough bleeding. It's not heavy, but it's bright red and I wasn't sure if this was normal. Also, I've continued taking my pack of BC. I'm supposed to get my period in a week and I know that Plan B can cause changes in your cycle, so am I getting my period early or should I still get it in a week? Should I finish out my pack of BC pills and start a new one as usual in a week?

You need to take your bc pills as you normally would with or with plan b pills. The breakthrough bleeding is most likely because of the plan b and I wouldn't be surprised if it continues. Don't be surprised if your period is late too. After all of this even your stress level might delay your period.

Just keep doing everything as prescribed. Everything will be fine. If something goes horribly wrong I would look into seeing a doctor.
