Hello i hope somebody can help me as i really dont want to go to the doctor. i am on the pill and have been on it for approx 2yrs. I usually always skip it for atleast a few months. Last week i started bleeding a brown colour with one week of the active still to go. (so all up i had my period for 2 weeks). During the second week i was EXTREMELY itchy and (this is gross but i couldnt help it) kind of itched until it felt like it had gone away. (i itched it with toilet paper that was kind of scratchy). Now im all red underneath and it absolutely KILLS because its all flaky around the lips. =( my bf and i hadnt had sex a week prior to me starting the brown bleeding so after three weeks of nothing we had sex last night and it felt like i was splitting. after we finished i went to the toilet and it stung. (i usually feel it stinging after sex but i read in another post UTI is a slow kind of motion and mine doesnt "drip slowly"). im really scared i have an std but im wondering if im just red raw because i scratched myself with the harsh toilet paper so much.. also i use soap wen i clean the outisde of my vagina. i really dont want to bring it up with my boyfriend because i dont want to worry him but ive had a pap smear before i got together with him and weve been having sex for a year now (we've been faithful too). Although im on the pill he 80% of the time wears condoms, either after hes entered me then pulls out and puts one on or hes had one on to start with.

please please try and help me or atleast if anyone knows of STDS that sound familiar to explain everything about them as i have limited knowledge of them. Thank you and sorry my post is so long.

It sounds like yeast infection. Both itchiness, redness and flakiness are the main symptoms of yeast.

You washing inside with soap could have caused it or the use of antibiotics or the spermicide from condoms. It is not an STD.

You better see a gyn for the examination and the proper treatment. It is easily treated.
