Most people have floaters, more as you get older.

The black portion might not be normal although there is a spot for each eye where your vision disappears. It's where the nerve bundle leaves the eye. You can find it by making a fist with your thumb sticking up. Look straight ahead and hold your eyes steady staring at something. Hold your thumb in front of it at arms length then move it slowly to the side. You will see it disappear then reappear as you keep moving to the side. The spot is where your thumb is about six inches to the side of the center of your vision.
