Hi,
Ive always kept relatively fit through football over the years but stopped that and have been jogging for 20 mins 3 times a week for about 6 months now. I decided to help my sister who is training for a marathon by joining in her runs. njoyed it alot so decided to aim for a half marathon.
im keeping it at ten min miles and have ran 9 mile so far but problem is that I have a pain in my right foot that wont go away. Ive changed my runners, purchased insoles with gel heels but problem wont go. Its located along the outside of my foot (side where your wee toe is) on the underside, sorry hard to describe. maybe ive not given it enough time to heal (2 weeks). question I want to ask is what could this be and would a cycling alternative help maintain fitness levels while I rest my foot??

2 weeks isn't a lot of healing time especially since you are still running on it. Mention it to the Dr. when you see him about the chest pain. :D Cycling is a good alternative to running to maintain your fitness level while recovering from injuries.
