it is 6 weeks until nationals, i need to stay as fit as possible. How do i continue my training by replacing running with cycling? i do not want to take a step back in my fitness.

I hope the best for you, but in my experience it is hard. I would try to cross train at a gym with arc trainer, elliptical, and stair master with the cycling to try and maintain your fitness. I have never had much luck with it as I find nothing can replace running, however I am a toe runner. Cycling for me works completely different muscle groups. But you might experience something totally different. Good luck

Spinning is pretty good as well and has the added benefit that the class is being led by a trainer who can push you hard.
