I get them all the time. Infact they are cysts. A cyst a closed sac, having a distinct membrane and division compared to the nearby tissue. It may contain air, fluids, or semi-solid material.

Mine never go away by themselves, however they are very easy to remove. Even a dermatologist or a cosmetician can remove them with no anesthetic.

If found behind ear lobes (or inside) they are NOT life threatening or have ANY DANGER to your well being. Simply put you can live with one all your life and it will never cause you any harm. Since they contain no bacteria and are enclosed in a membrane sac they cannot grow.

You can remove them by yourself. However you must be 1. Not scared of a little blood 2. Have a steady hand 3. All the instruments must be clean and sterilized. In any case you should not attempt this if you have even the tiny bit of doubt. This is the way I deal with it:

1. Make a small incision to the left, right, top or bottom of the cyst.

2. Clean off the excess blood with an alcohol based sanitizer.

3. Apply slight pressure to the cyst to force it out of the incision you made.

4. Once its out (it looks like a little white ball, if you pop it there is a clear fluid which is mostly water) dispose of it. Clean the area of the incision. Stop blood flow. Apply plaster. Allow the area to stay clean and dry for 1-2 days. And you are done.

Just a few things to note: The procedure will not leave any scars.

You should never try to actually make an incission on the cyst. (because its a hard membrane it requires a very very sharp scalpel or a lot of pressure, this can easily lead to a slip of the hand of a mistake and you can end up hurting youreself)

The whole thing takes about 10-15 minutes if you know what you are doing.

How I know this you ask? Well I have been to the doc 6 times to to this procedure and eventually he walked me through it while i was sat there. Now i do it all the time when the cyst starts to bother me.

it happens to me to and then it goes away and i realised it happens to my right ear lobe if i sleep on my right side and my left ear lobe if i sleep on my left side, so when i stopped sleaping either way it never came back

Well if your ears are pierced I would say its probably just wax build up in the ear from not properky cleaning I get them all the time to so don't worry. But if it's been there for a year or more without comimnhg and going I would get it checked out to make sure its nothing major.☺
