I have mild pain in my upper left stomach in the mornings before meal and late afternoon before meal. My stool became narrow, fluidy, sometimes creamy and lately oily. Some time I have rumbling and noisy stomach movement and farting. My stool has very bad smell. What is my problem?

Hi:
Something is not agreeing with you. Check your diet and use the process of elimination to see if you can figure something out that way. Here are some questions that might be helpful if considered: If your stool is lose, are you eating enough? Have you ever struggled with an eating disorder? Are you taking any type of supplements that may be causing this reaction? Are you on any types of meds that may have these side affects? Google "Food Pyramid" to check your daily nutritional habits. Try making adjustments if you are really off track in that area. If none of this helps, see a gastroenterologist asap. The pain is mild, but not a good sign. Try not to panic, because stress will probably complicate your situation. Ease your stress by making an appointment. Be sure that you are drinking water so that the fluidy stools will not make you dehydrated, which is another serious condition. Good luck! Please let us know what you find out and how you are doing. I hope that you have seen a doctor by now.

I think it would be a really good idea for you to see your doctor. It sounds to me like your body has undergone some changes and there may be a problem with your bowels. I don't know what has happened, but you do need to talk to a physician about this as soon as possible. For example, I know about a disease called celiac disease which can strike suddenly and can make you unable to process grains. Very frustrating.
