I think the first thing you should try and do is make an introduction, introduce yourself, and bring up small talk. Nothing too serious at first, maybe just talk about class, or something that is relatively neutral. This way you can 'VIBE' out on her, and she can vibe on you.
Study dates in a library or someplace not private is a great way to break the ice! When you are not in private, as a girl, it makes you feel more comfortable and at ease. Coffee, amusement parks, anything that is fun, but not too serious can get a girls attention =)
