Had 4 toes pinned, it is painful

I guess that's just the way they are. My wife had pins in a finger that was broken off when she was run over by a car. It was horrible. I don't how she did it. The first one started coming out so she called the doc and they said ti push it back in. She hung up the phone and told be he said to have me push it back in. She lied but I did it for her. It wouldn't stay so she had to go back and theyre-broke her finger and pinned it a different way. There is no way to numb bones and I don't know how she stood it. When that one was nearly healed it started coming out and she repeated the phone call thing. This time she said I was supposed to pull it out. So I did!!!
