I was horsing around with a friend last night and she ended up sitting on my neck while I was sitting on my knees on the ground. I was somehwat pinned beneath her and then felt a very sudden and sharp pain in my back, which resulted in aching near my right shoulder blade and sharp pain every time I'd move in certain directions. Just woke up to the same pain, nothing has improved overnight. Moving around in bed causes the most pain, if I'm standing upright and walking I'm ok. I also developed a big knot in the area, but I don't think the sharp pain I'm getting is coming from that. I can't really tell if this is a muscle problem or bone problem. If the pain continues I plan on going to see someone next week, but as its the weekend is appreciate any update or insight anyone might have. Thank you

Hey! I had the same exact kind of pain and I can almost guarantee its a dislocated vertebrae. It isn't as serious as it sounds, but you do need to go see a chiropractor or someone versed in back injuries. I went to my general doctor first and he told me to just rest up... which did nothing for my sharp pains, so I went to a traditional Chinese medicine doctor and he manually put it back in and put me on a rest and massage regimen. In about a month I was good as new. :) Good luck!
