It's been less than 24 hours and I feel fine. I woke up from surgery with my heart rate super low, the anesthesiologist and the nurses were closely monitoring me, I was in and out of consciousness. When I was able to say something I asked for my husband. I admit I was scared and if that was going to be my final moment I needed by husband by my side!
The pain at the hospital was a level 10, I was given more pain meds through my IV plus a Vicodin. None of which helped. My husband helped me get dressed and we went home after.
Upon coming home my husband gave me the prescribed Norco for pain (I am allergic to Oxycodone), and alternated 800mg Ibuprofen and as the day went by I began to feel better.
It's been less than 24 hours and I still have a bit of gas in my chest and lower back causing discomfort, but I am doing ok. I can take a pain med right now but my discomfort overall isn't too bad. Hope this helps someone.
