I decided to have this procedure done due to the painful, and heavy cycles that I was having every month.  BC wasn't helping anymore also. After the procedure everything seemed fine until I moved the pain was a 10 and every pain meds they could give me wasn't working. I was put to sleep for this procedure. Since my pain couldn't get under control they ended up admitting me overnight. Gave me pain meds through an ivy that finally gave me some relief. I would say I have a pretty high pain tolerance since all four pregnancies were drug free. Later in the evening my doctor came up to see how I felt. He said my color was better and I seemed alot better. Whenever he walked in the first thing that he said is, this isn't a normal reaction and I would have told you if it was. He was sorry I was in so much pain." He told me that out of all of the ablation he has done there was only one other patient who had pain like I did. I was able to go home the next day with Percocet, and 800mg Ibupofren which I took right on schedule. Sunday I decided to just take the ibuprofen because I couldn't drive with the Percocet. I was on day 4 of my cycle whenever I went in for the Novasure Ablation I haven't had any bleeding only a clear discharge with no odor. I'm still taking ibuprofen as needed due to the cramping, but it isn't as bad as it was after the procedure. I felt like I was having a contraction that wouldn't stop. I'm really tired, have some lower back pain, tenderness to touch abdomen, clear discharge still, and cramping like you get on your cycle. I was told no lifting things or lots of activities, doctor told me after a week I could be intimate with my husband if it doesn't bother me. I haven't had any bleeding tho which kind of surprised me because the doctor and nurse said I would for 4-6weeks. I'm not complaining tho. Also, the pain meds can make you constipated so be aware of that. I'm just going to take it easy if I am still hurting, and hope when it's time for my cycle again things will be better. Right now I don't have enough days to really say if I would recommend this.
