Hi Brandy, I also have stumbled across your question while I was looking for answers to my own variation of hand pain. My symptoms occur when I either have held in urine or an overdue bowel movement. It almost feels like a release of some sort. My pain is most severe on the outside of my fingers on both hands, but radiates up and down my arms, my shoulders, and the palms of my hands. I have been diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation of the SMAD3 gene, and rare connective tissue disorder called Loeys Dietz Syndrome Type 3, known to some geneticists as Aneurysms Osteoarthritis Syndrome. My geneticist, Reed Pyeritz, has been doing a study for a bunch of years now, focused on the Aneurysms throughout certain people's hands. He actually had me participate in the study, and have my hands scanned by CTA at 'the Perelman Center For Advanced Medicine', which is part of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine, here in Philadelphia. This was pre COVID19, and he won't allow me to access my results while the study is taking place. It includes people of many different genetic diagnoses, who all have aneurysms in their hands. I plan on having another hand scan of my own in the future, to take with me to 'The Philadelphia Hand Center', here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. LDS3, AOS, has many, many associated diagnoses and Symptoms, which vary from person to person. I have a dilated aortic root valve that is being monitored by ultrasound, MRA, and CTA, to avoid having an aortic dissection, or dissections to any of my arteries, and when surgical intervention will be performed by my vascular surgeon, Dr. Joseph Bavaria, at 'the Heart Center', inside of Perelman, at HUP. I have hypertension, arthritis, aortic heart disease, predisposition to aneurysms and dissections at even a minimal dilation. I have had chronic ischemic lacunar infarcts, or warning strokes, pseudoaneurysm, intractable migraine since age six, degenerative multilevel spine disease, kyphoscoliosis, loose joints and joint subluxations, and many, many other connected diagnoses, I symptoms, and medical problems connected to Loeys Dietz Syndrome Type 3, Aneurysms Osteoarthritis Syndrome, or more simply, the fact that my SMAD3 genetic mutation has many unknown factors, and is different for each person who has it as their diagnosis. My diagnoses includes having severe intractable pain, too. I am prescribed a lot of daily medications and supplements. Also, my eyes tear when I go to the toilet, and have since childhood, of perhaps even birth. My suggestion is that if you aren't near Philadelphia, call and ask to speak to a doctor at 'the Philadelphia Hand Center'. I plan to do the same. Best of luck searching for answers, and I feel for you and your struggle to get answers. Feel free to ask me anything in reference to my comment, and have a very Happy New Year 2023.
