I can't believe this is happening to me but I have to hand in my driving license because of my eyes!!!  I don't know what I will do  because I need to drive to get to work and without my license, I will need to find rides to work!  This is jsut awful because I don't want anyone to know that I can't drive becasue of my eyes, especially at work.  My supervisor will then want to wonder whether I can be able to work because of my eyesight.  I have to work!  I work in an office and with glasses I can see the computer screen ok.  I have to strain to see some things but on the most part, I believe I can perform my job.  I can see about public transportation but it is a pain because the bus stops only at designated times, between 30 to 45 minutes between bus stops.  I timed it, and it would drop me off at work 30 minutes ahead of time, so I would have to wait outside that long before getting in.  I don't think I can stand on my feet that long, especially in cold weather.  Is anyone else in this situation?

This seems to be a very concerning time for you, and I understand your grief over it.  Many people who cannot pass an eye exam have to find out how to get to places since they can no longer drive.  It is very disheartening and since you have a job that you need to keep, it can be frustrating.  Things you can do is go to see your opthamologist and have an official eye exam. Maybe with a note from a doctor, you can get your license back, given that your eye exam goes well or you are given some corrective glasses.
