I read all of the posts to the original message. I noticed that someone had mentioned they had cervical fusion and the clavical on one side is larger than the other. I, too, had a 3 level cervical fusion with cadaver bone and titanium plates. I noticed that my clavical on the right side is sticking out. Besides that, when I move right arm and shoulder, it pops in the area where the protrusion is and there are times when it sticks out more than other times. When it really sticks out, I feel like there is a pressure in my throat-kind of like a lump. It has been 2 1/2 months since my cervical fusion. I see the my neurosurgeon in a week. I really think the clavical protrusion is related to my cervical fusion. The cervical fusion did take care of the tingling down my arm, arm pain, elbow pain and headaches in the back of my head. In relation to what I had before, this is nothing-I hope. I will find out and report back.

I also have a lump on my left clavical.  Had an xray which showed nothing.  The doctor just said if it gets bigger to come back.  Has anyone found out what this is?  I have alittle pain once in awhile, but it does hurt when I bend down and try to pick something up.

mayo Clinic determined that my lump is arthritis. The medication they prescribed helped some, but it flares up frequently.

Thanks for the info., do you have arthritis that bothers you anywhere else, or just the clavical?  Just curious as I have no other problems.

I have the same bump and pain in my neck, shoulder. I just found out i was abducted by aliens and they implanted a microchip in my clavicle bone its part of a conspiracy that George Bush and Obama put together.Everyone that has this is getting shipped off to the planet mars, so they don't have to pay our social security ins. LOL sorry folks, its the only way i can deal with this pain it hurts like he11, and i cant sleep, i have to wait 2 weeks to see my quack (doctor). he will more than likely tell me that it doesn't matter what it is. my insurance company wont cover it.

I have the same symptoms. At the point where my left clavicle meets the top of my sternum is where I have a hard bump the is the size of a small grape and it sits on top of medial end of the clavicle. I look at an anatomy text book which shows that there are ligaments that join the clavicle to the manubrium ( top portion of the sternum). It seems as if the growth is sitting on top of these ligaments.

I saw by Doctor earlier today and had x-ray and ultrasound done. The Radiologist could not diagnose the bump - she said it was neither bony nor soft tissue.

I have been referred to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist a few minutes ago.

I have just noticed my right clavical having a knot on the end and seems out of place . It too is pushing on my throat and has the feeling of pressure on my throat . What do you do with this feeling and what has the doctor said about it interfering with your throat ?

I have a large bump on my left clavicle. Came up small at first and then got larger. It seems to have stopped growing, but concerned me. I had a cat scan two weeks ago. They ruled out cancer. Not sure what has caused it. I feel sort of an ache sometimes if I lift too much weight or am stressed out. Carrying a heavy purse on my shoulder , not good. I did sustain an injury 10 yrs ago and that might have something to do with it now. The raidiologist says it looks like arthritis? Who knows. I have started working out and getting massages which seems to help. If anyone has any suggestions as to what else I might do. please let me know.

I have the same thing, Xray showed nothing. My Chiropracter said that the clavicle is dislocated or has poped up, the joint connection there is not very strong he told me it can not be fixed, but its not dangerous. hope this helps, just keep and eye on it.
