I have the same issue...... My right clavicle is slightly sticking out near sternum, but its not noticable until i rub my hands on it.  It feels like a hard bone that doesnt move and it seems its the actually clavicle bone bulging out.  Im freaking out.  I also noticed small swelling on the same side of my neck near my thyroid. Any1?

I am a 49 yrs old woman. I ve had clavicale bone pain/ discomfort since 09/12. I thought i injured while i was working out at da gym. Went to a doc she said nothing to worry abt.. I incist to send me for xray. Xray was normal. Abt 4 mo later i noticed my sternoclavicale bone is stuckin out on the right side. I ask the doc to send me to have mri/ct scan. he didn like the idea, he thinks im exagurating things but bcuz i said i have to have it done he gave me an order for mri/ct scan. I have this bump, too. In my case it is a lymph node. It hurt a lot at first--not so much now. It does feel hard like a rock.

I DID not like the insensitivity this sociopathic self-centered narcissist left for people who are genuinely concerned about scary health issues they have. Quite possibly life-threatening in nature. Your political accusatory views are asinine and I'll pray for you to get the mental health intervention and help you quite possibly could benefit from.

Yes, it is a year after your post, but I recently noticed the same thing. An oncologist, who I was seeing for a follow up for another condition, looked and said "it was symmetrical and not to worry." Well, he never felt it and just looking in the mirror, I could tell it was not symmetrical. Then went to my primary Dr. who said it was just an enlargement of the bone (like a spur?) and since I had lost a lot of weight, I would notice it more. That was ten days ago......Now it is a bit larger. Which Dr. should I check with now, after two seeming false diagnoses?

Yes, I do. Both, one on side of wrist, one on clavicle, in one year. As a person goes through these symptoms, they are not the only ones you pick up the language. As a High school student our Biological terminology was still in Latin. Getting these symptoms is not a sign of intelligence. The retarded lack of medical knowledge baffles me, I am not a medical doctor, yet learned. Another thing is that there are many cases like this, all over the internet, yet...I can tell you one thing. I wish I was clever enough to find out how to make the seemingly bulk of medical geniuses know their work. That would be a clever thing.

I found the swelling on the right side of my collarbone centre and went to my doctor, who was intrigued by it. He immediately sent me for an mri scan and the conclusion was that it was arthritical swelling - just wear and tear.
I find that it presses on the inside of my throat and causes me discomfort.
I looked this up on line and find that it is quite rare - only defined in 1960’s.
Surgery was tried in extreme cases in the early days but didn’t seem to be very helpful.
Guess we just learn to live with another aggravation of old age!

I had a bad fall well lots of falls and have all the same issues, I have broken clavical and trapeziums in the hands kneck is agony know one checked my back and that was why I went to a&e I had 16 xrays shoulder dislocated And all the issues with my hands, I also choke constantly and I am sick in my sleep it is so scary as sometimes I don't wake up till I am chocking, been to ENT got nodules and damaged cords in voice box, they have said I have fybomyalgia sianitis titinus, the chocking is the worse and turned blue and stopped breathing a couple of times until my son helped me, I am on my own now and have not ate solids for over 4 years as to scared I have a bowl of soggy cereal a day yet have went from size 6 to 16 and can't get answers, honestly it's a battle I fight every day as I cost the NHS to much money said one doctor, and now I have a pharmacist phoning me 6 times in a day asking why what where about my medication I had been on diazepan for 15years he decided to stop it without reducing it, then I called the doctors then the pharmacist decided I could get 12 a month instead of 28 causing palpations swetting heart stopping skipping now I am getting told I have a heart problem and extremely high blood pressure which hospital told me to go to doctor tomorrow it was that high but that was 6 months ago, I have had my medication back, only by written written complaint I believe this has caused damage to my heart stopping straight away then 12 months of
Starting and stopping, I believe this has caused me health problems, and I don't understand why a pharmacist is asking me to explain why I am on each and every medication causing me to break down as he wanted names of all surgeons and doctors I have severe clinical ptsd and suicidal depression and getting questioned by him on all my medication prescribed by the hospital doctors made me break down, he was trying to save money, I hate it I would rather pay than all this. I have to take 2 omeprazole twice a day for the chocking, I might also have polymyalgia, there is also a hereditary blood conditions that can cause this so getting iron in your blood checked, along with writing a list of everything you feel is wrong and getting a double gp doctor appointment to go through all issues will help.

Thank you! I’m experiencing the same. I’ve had 2 should surgeries when they removed the actinium at the shoulder side. My swelling is under my chin at the joint of stern muscle and clavical. I have bulging discs in my neck with lots of pain. I feel better that this is probably a functional problem.
