Hello. 19 year old male here. Not active. A few weeks ago I noticed a sort of hard lump less than an inch below my glans on the right side of my penis. I'm circumcised, and I'm 'right handed' if you know what I mean. The lump is completely painless, but it doesn't feel like a cyst because it doesn't really move around. It doesn't appear to be squamous cell stuff because it doesn't look like an abrasion.  What could this be?

OP here, by the way, I would say it's almost invisible. It doesn't appear to be a wart.

The first big question is does it have puss or a scab and also do you feel that it MIGHT be sexually transmitted? IF this is not a possibility, then I would say it is either a block cyst that has hardened over time! A blocked hair follicle - that has also no way to be released! Or a type of wart - caused by "over usage" So lets see about the first big thought! Do you think it is STI related? Also do you shower on a regular basis!?

I dug at it once and that cause the skin to scab over, but that was from my fingernails, naturally it is not a wound. I only had sex once, two years ago, and I used a condom. It could be from overuse, I've recently moved and am very bored and isolated, and I do not use lubrication when I masturbate. I shower daily, by the way.

When you picked at it did any white cheese like material come out, or did it just bleed? IF it was white - then this is a hard cyst! IF it bled I would say it is from rubbing too much and being unlubricated! So keep up with the cleanliness - as this can be the main cause behind cysts and blocked pores - and just use lubrication (BUT nothing with petroleum - like vaseline) as these TOTALLY clog the pores! Olive Oil is a great one - and this might actually work on shaffing away the wart like bump!

It just bleeds when the skin is broken. Thanks!

IF the bleeding is happening quite a bit, I think you need to get this checked! IF you can put 2 and 2 together - and it flares up after dry masturbation or picking at it! Then fine, you just need to keep it lubricated - and put polysporin on it! and DON'T touch it or masturbate! And give yourself about a week, to see if it has gone! BUT if it flares up and is bloody from broken skin for no real reason then I want you to get it checked out!
