Hello,

my mom was first diagnosed with stage III ovarian cancer two years ago, and she had her first recurrence only six months after the debulking surgery. At that point she went through 6 rounds of chemotherapy, but her oncologist told us that the chance for cancer coming back again are still there. Unfortunately, at her latest CT scan it was clear that cancer has spread all across her abdominal cavity, affecting her intestines and causing small tumors on her internal organs.

We got a second opinion from a different oncologist who is suggesting HIPEC treatment that would basically mean a surgery to get the chemo directly to the affected areas, and we're wondering is it worth the suffering?
