My wife was diagnosed with stage 2 ovarian cancer and at that point her CA125 marker was 1800. After surgery and chemo it started slowly to drop down, even though it was high while she still was on chemo treatment. All her blood checkups and CA125 measures for last year were a bit higher, but nothing that our oncologist thought was serious. The problem we’re facing now is that out of nowhere her CA125 result is 600 and after the second, repeated test it was even higher – 800. It’s really scary to think that the cancer is coming back, but we’re trying to find some hope before the next oncologist appointment, as there are several reliable sources that claim CA125 can rise for completely different reasons.
