If you're period is due tomorrow you can take a HPT then. You MAY be having implantation bleeding.
Use your first morning urine as it is more concentrated. It is possible to get a "false negative" testing this early. If it comes up negative, repeat in 7-10 days. Follow the directions to the letter.
