Dear Kadi,
I expericenced THE EXACT SAME THING! Me and my boyfriend have sex all the time without a condom, and I've gotten my period in the past. I'm also very stressed out about my school work, so that is a possibility as well why i didn't have my period. I am one day late, and concerned. Could you keep me posted as well on how everything turns out. My email is jasmin

Due to it being your first time it is common and normal to have a delay of period, not sure why but most females experience this after they lose their virginity. You wouldn't experience symptoms this early especially weight gain, bloating would be a sign that your period is imminent and due soon, don't be without a pad or tampon wherever you go. Hope this helps

Yes you could get pregnant. Sperm can survive inside your cervix for 5 days and your egg 48 hours, so if the right conditions exist then yes you could get and be pregnant. The only way to tell will be to wait for your next period, if you miss then take a pregnancy test with your first pee of the day and this will give you the most accurate result. Good luck and hope this helped.

You have been doing some reading and probably rereading so I assume you saw the posts above, the first time can cause a delay in getting your period again which you may not notice due to your irregular periods already but the biggest thing? DO NOT stress as this will cause a bigger delay. You SHOULD be fine, nothing is a 100% though, as a word of caution from an older adult - in the future do use a condom to alleviate these questions and worries especially if you are going to continue having sexual relations as it CAN happen and are you ready to be a parent, either of you?
Good luck! Happy Holidays

Hi Guest,
If you used protection before there was any sexual contact then yes, you should be good. Condoms used properly are very effective.

Hi Bmn,
If you used protection correctly then you are unlikely to become pregnant. If you had a normal period, you are unlikely to be pregnant.
You can still be irregular/late after having sex.
