I know that a lot of these symptoms are very general and people often get paranoid for nothing, but I had ~ 2 months of dizziness, intermittent nausea, shortness of breath and headaches and it turned out to be something very serious.
A good way to rule out a lot of really bad causes of these symptoms would be to get a full blood work up.

Look into Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS Syndrome). It sounds very similar to what you are describing.

I suggest you have your thyroid checked. The symptoms you have sound like "hyperthyroidism" a common problem among women. It can be life-threatening if it's not treated. My mom has experienced all these symptoms when she was diagnosed with Graves' disease, she had a 'thyroid storm' so make an appointment to be on the safe side.
Good luck to you!!

Hello. In my case; I've just submit my job report. last 2-3 days before submiting reports I lack of sleep, rest, and eat. On that horribble night, I've just coming back to house by motorbike when suddenly I look not stable: seems like up and down, the earth seems moving. I stop my motorbike and stay up but it come again. I lost my body balance, light headed, fast heartbeats and a bit sweating. All my body feel week. I check at a nearest clinic they said that my BP are okay. Maybe you are so tired.
Then, I take a rest for 2 days. and start working on the third day. What happen is, on the night. The symptoms come again! I felt weak, dizzy, sometimes unconfortable with my upper back near the neck etc.
Ive taken a medical checkup, they conduct ECG, blood test=but my heart is okay.
After a few times I consult with doctor, she refer me to ENT. The doctor said that I've got vertigo. They give me serc and mecobalamin. The simptoms still happen but not worse than the first one.
But. I wondering, why my heartbeat go fast? is it a panic 'thing' or it could/ be associate with vertigo.

I went to the ER by ambulance Friday from work. I was perfectly fine when I went into work - desk clerk. I had all my work done and was just a couple hours from shift change. I was getting dizzy just a little at first so I went to sit down. While seated it got worse and so I called my husband to come and get me and my boss to take over. I knew I couldn't drive at this point and that something was really wrong. I thought if I could get outside I would feel better because I felt like I was spinning and blacking out. I got up to go to the door, but ended up on the floor because the spinning was so intense and I felt like I would black out. My body was shaking. I laid on the floor and closed my eyes, it was the only thing that made it not as bad. I tried to get up numerous times, but it was so bad I couldn't - my boss came out and called an ambulance.
The doctor gave me valium and motion sickness medicine. My blood sugar was fine, my blood pressure was elevated around 134 at work - but down to 106 before leaving the hospital. I normally have a low blood pressure. My heart rate was elevated the whole time. I am extremely allergic to a lot of things, but have never had any experience like this before. I also suffer from palindromic rheumatism which causes swelling in my body that comes on all of a sudden. I wonder if they are related. The doctor called it vertigo and told me to stay in bed for the next 2 days. I was dizzy for 2 days, but today it is better - not completely gone but almost. Any thoughts?

This is almost exactly what happened to me last night. Hit me out of the blue. Was sitting at my computer, chatting on FaceBook and the next thing I know, the world starts turning black, VERY dizzy, my blood pressure and breathing slowed down to a crawl, profuse sweating, my whole body was shaking, and I felt like I wanted to puke up my toenails. Took me by ambulance to the ER and hooked me up to all kinds of things. My heart was fine, they did a CAT scan on my head - it was fine - they also called it vertigo. I have been researching it on the internet this morning and it appears that the sudden onset we experienced is quite common with vertigo. Yay. One more health issue I have to deal with. In all of the articles I have read so far, it says that Meclazine helps - especially with the nausea. Good luck to you - I hope that yours calms down real soon.

This is like what has happened to me this morning!
After I woke up and got out of bed. Immediately, I experienced a racing heart and light-headedness. I couldn't do anything because I was also feeling very fatigued. After a few seconds, I started to sweat profoundly (both upper body and lower body, soaking my pyjamas) - I am never this sweaty even when I'm doing loads of exercise.
I had another episode of this a year earlier.
I would really appreciate if anyone can tell me the possible cause of this.
By the way, what exactly is this condition you mentioned that occurs in young adults? I am 20 years old.

I too started with similar symptoms, just over a year ago. Within a few minutes of laying down in bed, I feel like the world is spinning and a headache comes along with it .. sometimes I feel like I have pressure in my ears. I have spent a year sleeping 'propt' up on about 5 pillows and it has helped a lot, just taking one pillow away though or falling off them starts the symptoms. I have been to ENT clinic to be told my ears are normal and have been 'discharged'. My dr is not happy with my discharge so am now BACK on the waiting list for ENT to send me for Mri/cat scans. At the moment I take medication 3 x daily, similar to what is used to treat menierre's disease .. although I do not have this. If I miss any of this medication during the day I can feel the symptoms come on. I also can't turn around fast or bend over without feeling like I am going to loose my balance. I am nearly 49 and often wonder if it's some kind of hormone imbalance but the dr is not convinced it is.

Let me start of by saying, "I'm not selling this item". I have dealt with anxiety and panic attacks along with bouts of depression for the last 3 years. I have been to psychiatrists, psychologists, General Practitioners and all of them want to tag my problems as "Bi-polar" which means that they want you on some form of mind altering drug like Lithium or Depakote that puts you basically in a coma or what I like to call a FOG. I was watching the info-mercial on Attacking Anxiety and Depression and ordered it! After listening to the first 5 CDs I found myself retraining the way I think and react to situations and feel soooooo much better that I haven't taken any medication for 9 months and its amazing! In the CDs they explain that it is how we let other people control our emotions, decisions, guilt, shame, fears and lives that cause our stress, which in turn causes anxiety, and all of our coping and reactions were based off of what and how your family dealth with the same things. It has saved my life!!! Check it out!
