Hello Gageman831,

If you know that smoking marijuana makes your heart worse, do you think you could stop or is the pain from your head injury to great to bear? Your heart is tying to tell you something and it's best to listen. The body doesn't lie.

Smoking marijuana can speed up the pulse and raise blood pressure (followed by a sudden fall upon standing or walking), Roth notes.

WEBMD: "These effects lower the exercise threshold for chest pain [angina], and are an independent risk factor for heart attack and stroke," he writes. Inhaling marijuana smoke can also impair oxygen delivery via the blood, says Roth.

Stress is very bad for your heart and can make symptoms worse. Is there anything you like to do that helps to calm you? Listen to music? You need to find a way to calm yourself or you will have complications later in life. Thinking about it will make it worse.

First and foremost you shoudl always see a doctor, you don't want to mess with your heart. In your case, it's understandable when you financially can't. There are clinics that you can go to that may be free or may cost a small fee. I would suggest you go to one of those. Heart conditions can occur in the young as well as the old. The heart does not discriminate. On a side note it could be anxiety. I would suggest you keep a diary. Every time you feel your heart beat faster, or skip a beat, write it down. Write the time, date, how long it was occuring for,  and what you were doing at the timje and what you were thinking about. IF you can find a way to figure out what is triggering your heart to behave this way you may be able to control it. Once again, I do suggest you go to the doctor. I can't stress that enough.

There are certain vitamins that can help as well but I don't know if they are scientifically proven. CoQ10 and hawthorne berry extract and fish oil are some homeopathic remedies. What you eat plays a huge role in your health. Walnuts, Almonds, oatmeal, flaxseed, salmon, kidney or black beans, carrots, soy milk, spinach, etc... If you type in top 25 heart healthy foods it will take you to a list. You may have to adjust your lifestyle.

I have a lot of stress in my life and I find the most relaxing thing I can do is take a hot shower right before bed and I feel very much relaxed. Aromatherapy also works wonders. You just need to find what works best for you and stick with it. The mind is a powerful thing.
