I had a hemorroidectomy almost a year ago. It was suppose to be an out patient procedure but due to extreme pain they kept me in the hospital for 3 days. I was unable to urinate so they had to put a urine bag on me on the morning of my second day they came in around breakfast time and removed the bag. The nurse told me that I had to pee before I could go home. Around lunchtime a discharge nurse came to give me papers and make us leave. I told her that I haven't been able to pee yet and she said it wasn't a requirement before leaving the hospital, go home and drink a liter of water and walk. First full day home horrible pain, drinking lots of water, and can't pee
