Due to ongoing issues and complications with uterine cysts and cysts on my ovaries, I will be having my ovaries removed in the near future. This will mean the onset of a surgical menopause, which I am told is normally much more severe than a natural menopause. And we all know that that can be very unpleasant already. So I am scared of all the symptoms. Are there herbs that I can take to make the surgical menopause easier on my body?

With surgical menopause, learning what herbs and hormone replacement therapies will work for you is often a shot in the dark. You will have to self educate on what the possibilities are, assess which appeal to you most, and then try whether or not they work for you. Thankfully, there is a lot of information out there on the internet. I advise you research the pros and cons for each treatment individually, and decide on that basis which you think you want to try first. Of course, you should reach agreement with your chosen health care provider - which does not necessarily mean the same person that will remove your ovaries.
